Writing Portfolio

I’m a full-time professional writer specializing in medical, science, and legal content—though I sprinkle in small doses of other topics that interest me, including politics, parenting, fashion, and more.

My mom gave me my first typewriter when I was 4 years old. I’ve identified as a writer ever since then. In elementary and middle school, I published a newsletter that eventually gained a small mail circulation. By high school, I was blogging (and getting in trouble at school for what I said). I never dreamed I’d be able to make a living as a writer. It took some time, some luck, and some back-up jobs. I’ve now been doing this for a decade, and it’s no longer a fun side hustle but a career. You can visit my full portfolio here.

I publish multiple articles each day, and have written for hundreds of websites and publications over the years. I write a weekly reproductive justice and abortion rights column for DailyKos. For years, I wrote daily science and mental health news articles for GoodTherapy.org. I’ve written about hundreds of medical, psychological, and relationship topics for Medical News Today, where I continue to publish several articles each week. I extensively covered the novel coronavirus outbreak for sites such as WebMD. Working Mother has published my rants on household labor inequity. I ghostwrite for doctors and scientists, and have written for genomics companies, hospitals, assisted living communities, law firms, anti-racism educators, colleges and universities, mental health counselors, and consumer information sites such as LegalZoom.
